MOOO Milkshake
Milkshakes always seem to hit the spot! You know, the spot in the belly that is missing something but you didn’t know it until you filled it… If you are relocating to the Chester County area, you’ll need to know the place to get your spot filled when you need a milkshake!
About a week ago, Dale, friend of mine from Washington State, asked Sarah, from West Virginia, and I to complete an assignment …
What’s your favorite place to get a Milkshake?
“Yes!“, I thought, I’ve just been given permission to go devour a milkshake! “Jump!”
“AChrome! You have to come with me this weekend to Milky Way Farms in Chester Springs to get a milkshake!”
“Why?” AChrome, my 21-year old daughter asked, rolling her eyes as if to say, “What is my Mom thinking now?”
“I have to write a blog about my favorite place to get a milkshake; I need a model”. That’s all I needed to say. Anytime she can pose for a picture, she’s there!
We headed out on a dreary, rainy Saturday for the search for the perfect milkshake. As we pulled into The Creamery at Milky Way Farms, I was impressed they had quite a few vehicles in the parking lot on such a miserable day. We parked and AChrome, Little One (4), and Niece (8) hopped out of the car. There were people inside but wait, they aren’t eating ice cream or sipping Milkshakes? Presents? Toys? Cake? A private birthday party?
No homemade ice cream made with the milk from their own Dairy Cows for us! I was so proud I checked the website before taking off on this venture… but I didn’t call. They haven’t updated the website that says at the top, “Now Open – Fall Schedule”. I guess that ended in the Fall.
Have you ever broken the news to a 4 & 8 yr old that your plan for a scrumptious snack wasn’t going to work? It’s not fun. So PLAN B – by location – Red Robin!
I wish I could just answer a question like “Where is your favorite place to get a milkshake?” with a simple answer, “Milky Way Farms in Chester Springs, PA”. I have to make it difficult, “I’ll let you know,” and author a blog about milkshakes! So, Dale, aka Charlie – I didn’t get a milkshake from my favorite place, but thanks for the excuse to indulge none the less!

Very good Kate! Your an Angel for getting this done! Too bad Milky Way Farms wasn’t open but I can guarantee when it is a few new locals will be checking it out. Nice post and it is nice that the good old Red Robin is always there for us!
