Customer Service
I am not a complainer. My mother has taught me, “They do the best they can”. However, being in a customer service position for most of my career life, when its my turn, I would like some courtesy extended. I am one who has stopped many a Manager to give my compliments to the cashier, server, salesperson, etc. That’s fun!
My family went out to dinner at Uno’s in Exton/Lionville tonight. I had a picture of the side salad I received so I could show it to you, really I did! Gone. I used AChrome’s camera phone because my battery was dying, and I didn’t know to hit the button to save it
Since the picture isn’t here, suffice to say, it included about 8 bites. It was teeny-tiny. When Ed (nice guy!) , our server, brought it out and sat it down, I actually started laughing. So did AChrome.
I could have sworn Candid Camera was going to jump out somewhere.
I looked at Ed with a puzzled look on my face. He could tell exactly what was going on,
“Would you like to speak to the Manager?” he asked.
“Yeah. If that’s what I need to do. This is really crazy.”
“Yes?” Mr. Manager asked.
“Is this normal?” I inquired, pointing at the iceberg lettuce salad.
“That is our portion size”, he said. He knew what I was referencing. I wondered if he had been there as often as I.
“Really? There is hardly anything in here”
“Yes.” Off he went.
I was astounded! The part that bothers me most isn’t that the salad was skimped on, it is that someone expresses discontentment and its treated as “Who Cares!”. (Three tables around us with lettuce visible above the rim of the bowl).
I have managed retail operations. I have clients that I work with that I try my darndest to please their every need. They have upset this family over a $3.00 salad !!!! (Little did they know I was one who blogs)
If ever you are not satisfied with my service, or your expectations are not exactly what you had in mind – please tell me! It is important to me that your needs and desires are met as best as I can.
If I can not meet your expectations, I will tell you. For example, if you want a mountain retreat home in the Poconos, I could help you with that. However, my service will not be the best for you, due to the distance, so I will tell you how I can help you by giving you the name of an agent that specializes in the area.

I complained about a website online once and they sent a representative to my office with a gift certificate….. that the office manager stole and kept for herself. I lost twice!
that salad was the worlds biggest joke and the manager was a jerk. he prob ate half of it and then sent it out.
