Yellow Springs | MemBREWship Drive
Yellow Springs is tucked away just about in the center of Chester County. Yellow Springs is in the heart of Chester Springs, home of one of the desirable zip codes (19425) in the area.
You can learn more about the 300 year old village on their website. They even have a virtual tour of the historic village full of pictures and information. If you visit Yellow Springs on your own, or take a tour you can see some remains on the hillside of the hospital that George Washington commissioned to be built for the military during the American Revolution.
It’s been recorded that Yellow Springs was also home to the Chester Springs Soldiers’ Orphans School for children of the Civil War Soldiers.
Later, it was headquarters for a film studio, that created over 400 films, including The Blob.
The Historic Yellow Springs is having their 34th Annual Mem”BREW”ship Party on March 29th, 2008.
$30.00 per person / $50.00 per couple (two adults in same household).
With that fee you will receive a one-year membership and a poster.
First Resource Bank is sponsoring the event, which is being held from 6:30 pm – 10:00 pm.
You can sample some of the area’s micro beers: Dogfish Head, Lancaster Brewing, Legacy Hill, Magic Hat, Philadelphia Brewing Company, Sly Fox, Victory Brewing, Weyerbacher and Yards Brewing.
Hors d’oeuvres by: American Bar and Grill, Brickside Grille, The Drafting Room Tap Room and Grille and Victory Brewing. I heard Dutch Village Pretzels of Eagle is coming again too!
Wine tasting by Hudson Austin of the Wine Merchant, Ltd.
“Echo” will be providing the music.
