Produce Junction – Exton

This is the place for freshness! I remember when I moved back to the Chester County area, I traveled 30 minutes to Phoenixville once I learned about Produce Junction – a glorious spot for a vegetarian’s shopping list. A couple of years ago (time flies!) Produce Junction opened in Exton !
Fresh flowers, fresh vegetables, and fresh fruits are ample in supply and priced very reasonable. You almost need a tour guide or friend to show you the ropes on your first visit – it can be quite overwhelming. There are usually crowds of people lined up at the three cashier spots – Flowers, Vegetables, and Fruits. And watch out! You don’t want to mix them up! Think…. Soup Kitchen/Seinfeld. The pay stations are separate – and yes, you have to stand in three lines if you want all three.
I was in a hurry today – so I only stopped at the fruit counter. The items available are written on a white board above the counter and are pre-bagged. The staff takes your order and grabs your bags as you go. Today I bought approximately 15 small bananas, 12 apples, 12 oranges, 2 packs of strawberries, 1 pack of blueberries, whole
pineapple, 24 limes, and red seedless grapes for $15.00.
I usually grab up some fresh flowers for me and I had my eye on some Hyacinths & Tulips – but no time to wait – they handle the lines well, but I’d rather go back on a weekday (non-holiday) morning.
Check it out ! Have fun ! Produce Junction is in the shopping center with Leslie’s Pool Supply Store across from Giant on Rt. 100. 260 N. Pottstown Pike, Exton, PA. (610) 524-5454.

I’ve written a great deal about my own local produce patches. I get tons of traffic. Folks like their greens right from the fields!
I think it’s important to support the local produce – and there is nothing like fresh fruits and veggies ! Another one of my favorites is just a stand at a neighbor’s house
Wish I had heard about Produce Junction years ago! I have been to the Broomall, PA and 1 Philly location. Does anyone know how to find a list of locations by State or Region? Surprisingly, can’t find a website/ blog or newsletter.
[...] Produce Junction provides some entertainment if you haven’t been before – and lots of yummy fruits, vegetables, and flowers abound ! There are some “rules” when you shop at this local produce store, resembling more an indoor stand … and don’t mess up. We might be watching [...]
Anyone have any ideas on starting a produce junction in my town? Our closest is 1 hour and 20 minutes away. There are other moe local things but nothing like this.
This location has bad teenage workers especially during the summber time.
A few teenage workers at the Produce Junction in Exton, PA like to short change/over charge customers. It has happened to me more than once and also to my friends. When I pointed out their cheating behaviors they acted cute without knowing that “cheating” was written all over their faces. One time the kid even tried to change the interpretation of what the listed price meant.
I really do not like to shop at the Exton location. Its bad workers have ruined its reputation.
