You can sure use the word decrease across the board while comparing 2008 and 2009.  Looking over each month in 2008 it has completely made spikes with increases and decreases in sold prices. There is no way to tell where the market is headed. If you want to sell your home, price it fairly. There are buyers out there buying homes. Talk to a professional real estate agent to learn what it takes to be a good choice within the current inventory. Buyers, let an experienced real estate agent help you narrow down the inventory to just the right home for you.

A report by neighborhood or township is available – it is a lot more accurate when you narrow down to a more localized area – you can email me or leave a comment.

  • I live in Seattle Washington, and I am a loan officer that serves the Seattle Home Mortgage Market. We also have experienced drops across the board in home values. I just don’t think our area here in Washington State has suffered quite as much as many areas of the country. I also think that we will continue to see declines nationally in housing prices. So if you are going to sell, I would think sooner rather than later in order to capitalize and values today, and not 6 months from now. Thanks, for your aricle it was great to read.
