Goodbye Hank Baskett III

Hank Baskett III is moving to the Colts, so I heard this morning. I’ll miss him. He is from Clovis, New Mexico and went to school with my daughter, AChrome23. It was fun to have him close by.

Good Luck with the Colts and GO E-A-G-L-E-S!

Buy House First or Sell House First?

Sell House? Buy House? What First?
This is a common question that is presented to me more than I can count. It is important to gather research before making any conclusion. It’s sort of like getting together all of the pieces to a puzzle first; then putting the pieces together to make the master plan.
Some of [...]

Letting Go

Many times in life we have to let things go. It doesn’t always get easier with time, let me tell you! As an Air Force Brat, I grew up moving our home every couple of years or so. That meant a lot of letting go…. learning to not get attached to a house, understanding that [...]

Your Special Place

Do you have a special place? A special place can be anywhere that you can “get away from it all” and release some tension. I think we all need one.

I’ve discovered over the years that I’m actually ok to hang out with. I used to hate every minute I was alone and needed people around [...]

Internet Marketing for Real Estate

I’m on my way to San Francisco for Inman Connect. My seatmate on the plane asked me if my company pays for me to travel to this convention/seminar. Nope. It’s an investment I’m committed to for the sake of my clients. (Disclaimer: I did earn the entry fee to convention, courtesy of ActiveRain where I [...]

Selling your House in the Future?

I’ve had two requests this month for “a favor”. Both future sellers wanted some advice about selling their home, but it wouldn’t be happening for a while. (Six months-36 months). I’ve explained, this isn’t a “favor”, I consider this a part of my service!
Of course, timing is everything as far as pricing a home, [...]

What is the “Assessment”?

A common question that most of the people who buy a house in Chester County  (and Montgomery County & Delaware County) with me is, “What is the Assessment Price and why is it so different than the asking price?”
The assessment price is shown on our MLS printouts that a Buyer is given before viewing a [...]

A Home for Sale is Like a Beauty Contestant in a Price War

Having a home on the market today is like it being a Beauty Contestant in a Price War.
I got the pleasure of hearing our Co-Founder of RE/MAX International, Dave Liniger, speak last week in King of Prussia. He said the above and it was one of those “write down” statements.
If you are really ready to [...]
