This is a video I submitted to demonstrate a very small portion of what I can do for you as a Buyer Real Estate Agent. It was a submission for a contest that I was selected to participate in by ActiveRain. Myself and my mentor, Missy Caulk, are in the top three teams chosen as finalists in a Business Makeover2Takeover.

The finalist will be announced in San Francisco soon – I’ll keep you posted… for now… enjoy just a small piece of what I can do for you as a homebuyer in the Chester County, Pennsylvania area. (It actually takes about an hour to address the process and what I can do for you).

• You’ve seen the masses of signs – there is a lot of inventory out there right now.
• You’ve surfed the internet with the parameters that you’d like to find (ie: particular area, school district, close commute time to work, minimum amount of bedrooms, etc.).
• You’ve looked through the pictures provided in the online listings.

Now what? Call your Buyer Agent, don’t waste time calling each and every name on the signs – call one person who will work for you (not seller -and- you) and schedule appointments for the houses that look interesting to you.

When you get to the adventure of seeing the houses in person – you’ll know when a house turns into the potential home you’ve been looking for.

It’s a feeling. Picture Benji coming running up the sidewalk to greet you. The friends gathering to watch football. The dining room that welcomes the extended family. The sun room you can picture adding onto the back for the quiet sips of coffee in the morning. Feel it.

It’s called House Love. Some say it’s love at first sight. Some say it takes a couple of visits and drive bys to ensure the feeling of love they felt was the House Love and not just a House Crush.

If you don’t feel it – move on. You will. It’s just like People Love. You know when its the right one.

I know, I know, OPEN HOUSES are fun to visit!  Even if you are not in the market to sell or buy, they provide for some free decorating advice (and snooping at the neighbor’s house).  I inform my friends, family, and past clients to go visit Open Houses in their neighborhood when they see them. When it comes time they want to sell, they will have seen inside the house that could be a comparable sale!

There have been some issues about REALTOR(R) safety, and activity that has been of concern to local Real Estate Agents that sit at Open Houses in the Chester County area lately. You can see more detail about this on my ActiveRain blog targeted towards Agents.

Please understand that there are a few reasons agents ask you to sign in:
1. To report to the seller how many visitors they had through their house.
2. To follow up with any potential interest you may have (or not have).
3. To contact you about any other homes in the area that might be of interest if Subject Property wasn’t the right fit.
4. *Most importantly* To have a record for security purposes.

If you are represented by a REALTOR(R) for your purchase of your new home, please be assured you may sign him/her in along with your name for any feedback purposes.  If arranged prior to your visit, this could “protect” your relationship with your Buyer’s Agent in case you want to purchase this house.
