July 2009 in Montgomery County, PA there were 1,186 single family homes that went on the market and listed “for sale” with an average price of $375,000. There were 832 units that sold during the month of July 2009 with an average “sold price” of $310,000.
Looking back a year, at July 2008 in MontCo, there were 1,424 single family homes that went on the market “for sale” with an average price of $397,000. July 2008 saw 824 units that sold for an average price of $347,000.
You can sure use the word decrease across the board while comparing 2008 and 2009. Looking over each month in 2008 it has completely made spikes with increases and decreases in sold prices.
